Port of Magdalla is a Seaport in Western India, located on the Southern bank of the Tapi River, around 10 km from Surat. Location: Magdalla is situated on the W coast of India, approx 120nm N of Mumbai, on the E shore of the Gulf of Khambhat. General overview: Magdalla Port, an official point of entry, includes Surat Roads and Sutherland Channel, Hazira offshore terminal (SBM), Hazira LNG terminal, Hazira bulk/container terminal (under construction) and the Tapi River port of Magdalla. In Surat Roads there is a deepwater lighterage anchorage for LPG and chemical vessels with another closer general cargo vessel anchorage 3nm offshore, from which cargo is shipped by barge for landing at Magdalla port.
