The Port started its construction in the year 1854. The Port has has 30 dry cargo, 3 liquid cargo handling berths, and two dedicated container terminals. The Port's imports are crude oil, refined petroleum products, edible oils, machinery, fertilizers, and grain. And  exports are raw cotton, cement, rice, textiles, and handcrafts. Approx 1,600 vessels, 26,000,000t of cargo and 650,000TEU handled annually.
