The Berge Olympus, a Newcastlemax bulk carrier equipped with four large WindWings, made its maiden voyage to Vale's Port of Tubarão in Brazil. Developed by shipowner Berge Bulk, each sail utilizes wind energy to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The vessel, part of Berge Bulk's initiative to achieve carbon neutrality by 2025, is expected to save up to 6 tonnes of fuel per day and reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 19.5 tonnes per day.
