V.Group, a prominent ship management and marine services company, has joined forces with Aither, a provider of carbon trading solutions, to establish a strategic partnership focused on facilitating the seamless trading of carbon credits for the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) scheme and beyond. This collaboration aims to support shipowners with vessels managed by V.Group in complying with emissions regulations, especially as the EU ETS is set to cover maritime transport from January 2024. Through an online portal, V.Group customers will be able to assess the cost of carbon usage, purchase carbon credits, and maintain compliance with the upcoming EU ETS scheme. The partnership combines V.Group's decarbonization expertise with Aither's carbon trading solutions, providing comprehensive support for shipowners in achieving carbon neutrality and aligning with strategic business objectives.
