The collaboration aims to facilitate the seamless trading of carbon credits for the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS) scheme, specifically benefiting shipowners with vessels managed by V. The EU ETS, set to include maritime transport emissions from January 2024, requires organizations to account for greenhouse gas emissions. Through this partnership, V.Group's customers will gain access to an online portal, enabling them to assess carbon costs, purchase carbon credits, and maintain compliance with the upcoming EU ETS regulations.
