The recent videoconference meeting of the Thessaloniki Port Users’ Council, chaired by Thanos Liagkos, Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of ThPA S.A., focused on fostering productive dialogue within the port community. Attended by representatives from 18 bodies, the meeting addressed key aspects of ThPA S.A.'s investment plan, operational units, and sustainability initiatives. Emphasis was placed on enhancing the Port's connectivity, expanding intermodal services, and upgrading railway infrastructure. The discussions highlighted the strategic development plans, synergies with international ports, and the growing Cruise sector, with 79 scheduled arrivals in 2024. Liagkos emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts for the continual development and competitiveness of the Port of Thessaloniki, underscoring the shared goal of creating an efficient and reliable intermodal network for Southeast, Central, and Eastern Europe.
