The Visayas Container Terminal is set to get new mobile harbor cranes.

Visayas Container Terminal (VCT) is gearing up to enhance its operations with the arrival of two cutting-edge ESP.5 Konecranes Gottwald mobile harbour cranes. These state-of-the-art cranes, the largest and first of their kind on the island of Panay, are set to significantly boost the terminal's capabilities. The new cranes, designed for standard-class vessels, boast an impressive maximum reach of 46 meters and a lifting capacity of 100 tonnes. This upgrade will enable VCT to better handle a diverse range of cargo, from containerized and bulk goods to general and project shipments. The addition of these cranes is expected to streamline port operations, reducing vessel and truck turnaround times and enhancing overall port efficiency and safety. Timothee Jeannin, Executive Director at VCT, expressed enthusiasm about the upgrade: “These cranes are game changers for the Visayas market. We’re thrilled to integrate them into our operations, especially after just five months of commercial activity at the Iloilo Commercial Port Complex.” Gareth Scott, ICTSI’s Equipment Procurement and Commissioning Director, added, “We’ve closely monitored the production of these cranes from day one to ensure they meet our exact specifications. We’re confident they’ll make a significant impact on our operations.”
