The Port Authority of Valencia (APV) has officially
awarded a contract for the construction of the ST1 electrical substation within
the port. The project has been granted to a consortium formed by Lantania SAU
and STM Alta Tension SAU, with the contract valued at €13.9 million, including
VAT. This new electrical substation is a crucial part of the port's ongoing
efforts to modernize its infrastructure and improve operational efficiency. The
facility will enhance the port's power supply capabilities, supporting its
increasing demand for energy as cargo volumes grow and new technologies are
implemented. The consortium's expertise in electrical engineering and
construction positions them well to deliver the project on time and within
budget. Once completed, the ST1 substation will play a key role in ensuring
reliable electricity supply for the port's various operations, ultimately
contributing to Valencia's status as a major logistics hub in the
Mediterranean.
