ST Engineering opens new shipyard in Singapore.

ST Engineering has officially opened its new shipyard, the Gul Yard, in Singapore. Acquired in February 2023, the Gul Yard replaces the existing Tuas Yard, which will see its lease expire at the end of 2024. Spanning twice the size of Tuas Yard, the Gul Yard is strategically designed to accommodate larger and more complex projects, enhancing capabilities in both shipbuilding and repair. A significant focus will be placed on offshore construction, reflecting the growing demand for sophisticated maritime solutions in this sector. In addition to its increased capacity, the Gul Yard will be integrated with ST Engineering’s Benoi Yard, allowing for a more streamlined operation. This integration is expected to leverage the combined strengths of both facilities, fostering greater efficiency and innovation in project execution. With the opening of the Gul Yard, ST Engineering aims to unlock new opportunities both locally and globally. The enhanced capabilities will enable the company to better serve its clients and respond to the evolving needs of the maritime industry, positioning ST Engineering as a key player in the global shipbuilding and offshore construction markets.
