As of this year, the Port of Varna has achieved a notable cargo
handling milestone, with its two terminals processing a total of 5.5 million
tonnes. Ivaylo Gavrailov, the Executive Director of the Port of Varna, provided
this update during a recent statement in Devnya. Specifically, the Varna West
terminal has been a key contributor, handling 3.5 million tonnes of the total
cargo. This figure underscores Varna West's vital role within the port’s
operations and highlights the overall growth and capacity of the Port of Varna.
The substantial cargo volumes handled reflect both the port's strategic
importance in regional trade and its ongoing investment in infrastructure and
efficiency. The robust performance so far this year positions the Port of Varna
as a significant player in the maritime and logistics sector, reinforcing its
capacity to support increasing trade demands and economic development in the
region.
