A delegation from the Dutch Port of Moerdijk recently visited the Port of Bilbao, accompanied by representatives from the Dutch logistics operator VDH, which provides key services connecting the Netherlands to the Iberian Peninsula. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation and explore new opportunities for collaboration between the two ports. In 2023, trade between Spain and the Netherlands reached an impressive 14 million tonnes, encompassing a diverse range of products, including agricultural goods, machinery, and chemicals. This growing trade volume underscores the importance of efficient logistics and port operations in facilitating economic exchange, and both delegations discussed strategies to enhance connectivity and streamline processes for future shipments.
