The newly inaugurated Venice cruise terminal in Fusina,
which opened on August 29, marks a significant advancement in the city’s
maritime infrastructure. This development represents a substantial 5 million
euro investment by Venezia Terminal Passengers (VTP). The state-of-the-art
terminal features two dedicated docks, each outfitted with modern terminals
designed to accommodate large cruise ships, with capacities of up to 210 and
250 meters in length. This expansion aims to enhance the efficiency of
operations and cater to the growing cruise market, bolstering Venice’s position
as a premier destination in the Mediterranean. The new facility is expected to
streamline passenger processing, improve service quality, and support the
influx of tourists arriving by sea.
