Nakilat, a prominent player in LNG shipping, has initiated a strategic expansion by ordering six vessels from Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries in South Korea. The order includes two state-of-the-art LNG carriers with a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters each and four modern Very Large LPG/Ammonia Gas carriers with a substantial 88,000 cubic meters capacity. Scheduled for delivery between 2026 and 2027, these vessels will feature advanced environmentally friendly and fuel-efficient propulsion systems. Nakilat's CEO, Abdullah Al Sulaiti, emphasizes the commitment to sustainable shipping solutions, contributing to a more eco-conscious future. The expansion reinforces Nakilat's position as a global leader in gas shipping and strengthens its partnership with Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries. After delivery, Nakilat's LNG fleet will comprise 71 vessels, while the LPG fleet will increase to 8 vessels, highlighting the company's dedication to providing reliable and eco-friendly gas transportation.
