Maersk, the Danish shipping giant, has announced that Egypt will not be included in the upcoming price increase for shipments to the United States and Canada, set to take effect on February 1, 2025. The planned increase will apply to various Middle Eastern ports, including those in the UAE, Bangladesh, Bahrain, and several others, with a rate of $1,000 per container. This adjustment is part of Maersk's strategy to manage shipping costs across its extensive network, which ranks it as the second-largest container transport company globally.
