Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, has revealed that cargo transportation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan is set to expand by 20-30% in 2024. This anticipated growth underscores Uzbekistan’s strategic effort to leverage Azerbaijan’s transport infrastructure to overcome its landlocked status. As a result, the total volume of cargo passing through Azerbaijan is projected to reach 1 million tonnes next year, marking a significant increase and enhancing both countries' trade and economic collaboration.
