JSW Infrastructure has secured the bid for the development of Keni Port in Karnataka with a projected investment of ₹4,119 crore. The initial capacity of the all-weather, deep-water greenfield port is set at 30 million tonnes per annum. The port is strategically located between Mormugao and New Mangalore Port and is expected to cater to cargo such as coal and coke for steel, cement, and power plants. Karnataka aims for significant industrial growth, and the Keni Port development is considered crucial for the expansion of maritime infrastructure in the region.
