The Palermo-based Italian Shipping & Logistics Agency (ISLA) has acquired Europea Servizi Terminalistici (EST), a port terminal operator based in Catania, for 5.25 million euros. This acquisition is part of ISLA’s strategic plan to expand its operations and enhance its presence in the Italian port sector. Pietro Coniglio, CEO of ISLA, highlighted that EST’s operations align well with ISLA’s goals, noting that the acquisition will support the company's growth strategy by integrating EST’s terminal capabilities with ISLA’s existing services. This move is expected to strengthen ISLA’s position in the market, improve logistical efficiency, and provide new opportunities for growth in the region.
