India's Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Piyush Goyal, highlighted a significant increase in India's exports to the Nordic region, with a growth rate exceeding 39% from 2018-19 to 2022-23. Notably, exports to Finland and Norway experienced remarkable growth rates of over 100% and 80%, respectively. Mr. Goyal emphasized the popularity of Indian culture in the Nordic-Baltic region, including cuisine, Bollywood, yoga, ayurveda, and textiles. He identified areas such as innovation, green tech, AI, blockchain, supply chain logistics, and fintech as ripe for collaboration between India and the Nordic-Baltic nations. The minister invited companies from the region to participate in upcoming trade fairs in India, signaling an exciting era of collaboration and shared prosperity.
