In the first half of 2024, the Port of Malaga saw a substantial
increase in cargo handling, managing 2.2 million tons of goods. This represents
an extraordinary growth of nearly 90% compared to the same period in 2023. The
impressive surge underscores Malaga’s burgeoning role in the Spanish logistics
sector, outpacing other ports in terms of growth and activity. This leap
reflects a significant expansion in the port’s operations, driven by heightened
efficiency, increased trade volume, and enhanced infrastructure developments.
