At this year’s Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe, held in Hamburg on
October 23 and 24, 2024, Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA) showcased its
innovative hydrogen projects aimed at promoting clean energy solutions. Karin
Debacher, the head of HHLA hydrogen projects, played a key role by moderating
two panels during the Hydrogen Technology Conference, where experts discussed
the vital role that ports can play in the hydrogen economy. The panels focused
on how ports can serve as crucial hubs for hydrogen production, storage, and
distribution, facilitating the transition to renewable energy sources. HHLA
emphasized its commitment to integrating hydrogen technologies into its
operations, highlighting projects that aim to reduce carbon emissions and
enhance sustainability within the logistics and transport sectors. This event
brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators, creating a
platform for collaboration and knowledge sharing as the hydrogen sector continues
to grow. Through these initiatives, HHLA aims to position itself at the
forefront of the hydrogen revolution in Europe, aligning with broader goals for
a greener future.
