HAROPA PORT and VERSO ENERGY have entered into an agreement to establish a low-carbon hydrogen production plant on HAROPA PORT land in Grand-Quevilly, France. The project aims to produce hydrogen through water electrolysis, providing a capacity of 350MW and over 50,000 tonnes of hydrogen annually. The facility, projected to be operational by 2029, will also produce synthetic fuels using recycled CO2. This initiative aligns with HAROPA PORT's commitment to decarbonizing industrial activities in the port area and meeting the rising demand for sustainable fuels in maritime and aviation sectors.
