German carrier Hapag-Lloyd has revealed a series of rate increases effective from December 2023 on various shipping routes worldwide. The changes include a general rate increase (GRI) from Asia to Latin America, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central America. Additionally, rate hikes are announced for East Asia to the United States and Canada, India to the United States East Coast, and North Europe to destinations in India, Pakistan, Red Sea, and Arabian Gulf. The adjustments impact different container types, including dry, reefer, and special containers, with varying increases in rates.
