A delegation from the Association of Port Operators of Finland
recently conducted a detailed visit to the Port of Civitavecchia to explore
opportunities for collaboration and gain a deeper understanding of its
operations. The group was led by Ari-Pekka Saari, the CEO of Steveco Oy, a
major logistics and port services provider in Finland. Accompanying him were
Teppo Heikkilä, the Production Manager of Finnsteve companies, who oversees
port operations and logistics; Juha Mutru, the Managing Director of the
Association of Port Operators of Finland, who represents the interests of
Finnish port operators; and Kimmo Lehtinen, Director at the Association, who
contributes to strategic planning and development. The delegation’s visit was
aimed at examining the Port of Civitavecchia's infrastructure, operational
practices, and management strategies to identify areas for potential
cooperation and mutual benefit. The visit also provided an opportunity for the
Finnish delegation to discuss best practices, technological advancements, and
future trends in port operations with their Italian counterparts, fostering a
deeper exchange of knowledge and potential future partnerships.
