Between January and August 2024, the Durres-Porto Romano Port
Complex managed to process 4.2 million tons of cargo, representing a notable
15% increase compared to the 3.65 million tons handled during the same period
in 2023. This upward trend in cargo volume has been evident on a monthly basis,
reflecting a consistent growth in port operations. Specifically, July was a
particularly strong month, with the port processing 614,589 tons of cargo
alone. This impressive figure not only underscores a peak in activity for that
month but also highlights a month-over-month increase in cargo handling,
demonstrating the port’s enhanced capacity and efficiency in managing higher
volumes of goods throughout the year.
