The year-to-date average is $1,677 per 40ft container, significantly lower than the 10-year average of $2,672, influenced by the exceptional conditions during the 2020-22 Covid period. Specific lane updates include a 15% increase in rates from Shanghai to Rotterdam and Genoa, a 7% increase on the Shanghai to New York route, and stability in rates for New York to Rotterdam. Drewry foresees East-West spot rates remaining relatively stable in the coming weeks
