Starting from November 16th, Copenhagen Malmö Port's (CMP) container terminal is receiving an extra container ship call each week, doubling the weekly service. This development connects Copenhagen with major German hub ports—Hamburg twice a week and Bremerhaven/Wilhelmshaven once a week. The increased frequency aims to enhance connectivity between Copenhagen and Northern European hub ports, supporting the growing market in the capital region and Zealand, Denmark. CMP anticipates improved goods handling efficiency, especially with the expected population growth in Copenhagen by 2050. The additional Unifeeder call opens expanded opportunities for direct connections to German transit ports.
