Yesterday, the Ravenna Civitas Cruise Port (RCCP)
held a groundbreaking ceremony to celebrate the start of construction on a new
10,000 m² cruise terminal in Porto Corsini, Ravenna. This ambitious project is
a collaboration between Cruise Terminals International (CTI) and Royal
Caribbean Group, aiming to significantly boost the region’s tourism potential. The
new terminal is designed to accommodate the growing number of cruise passengers
and enhance the overall travel experience in Ravenna. With its strategic
location, the port is expected to attract more cruise lines and contribute to
the local economy through increased visitor spending. During the ceremony,
officials highlighted the importance of this development not only for Ravenna
but also for the broader Adriatic cruise market. The project reflects a
commitment to sustainable tourism and aims to integrate modern facilities while
preserving the area's cultural heritage. As construction progresses, the RCCP
hopes to position Ravenna as a key player in the cruise industry, providing
visitors with easy access to its rich history and beautiful surroundings.
