Chinese shipyard Zhoushan Changhong International deals Construction contract for twelve 19,000 teu LNG dual-fuel box ships with MSC.

The contract from Geneva-based MSC for twelve 19,000 TEU LNG dual-fuel container ships at Zhoushan Changhong International follows two previous rounds of orders at the same shipyard. Earlier, MSC had placed orders for ten 11,500 TEU and ten 10,300 TEU LNG dual-fuel container ships with Zhoushan Changhong. On August 8, Zhoushan Changhong reached a significant milestone by completing the keel laying for the third and fourth 11,500 TEU LNG dual-fuel container ships in MSC’s earlier batch of orders. This development highlights the ongoing expansion of MSC’s fleet with state-of-the-art, eco-friendly vessels as part of their commitment to modernizing their operations and reducing environmental impact.
