Brazil’s
Port Ministry announced on Friday 2nd August 2024 that a public
auction for the operation of five port terminals will be held on 21st
August, 2024. The terminals up for bidding include three in the northeastern
city of Recife, Rio de Janeiro. The port auction was originally scheduled for
May but was postponed due to flood crisis in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil’s
southernmost state. The operation of the terminals will be offered under a ten
year non-renewable lease. The Official public bidding documents for the
auctions were published today.
