The Vizhinjam International Seaport, located near the capital of Kerala, is preparing for its third ship arrival on November 27. The vessel, "Zhen Hua 24," will bring six yard cranes to the port. The port, constructed at a cost of Rs 7,700 crore under a public-private partnership model with the Adani Group, recently inaugurated its deep-sea international facility. The project faced delays due to land acquisition issues and protests from fishermen concerned about its impact on their livelihoods. The port, set to be one of the largest globally, is expected to be commissioned after overcoming initial setbacks.
