South Korea's state-backed Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp. has initiated international tenders to procure approximately 20,000 metric tons of food-quality soybeans without genetically-modified organisms (GMOs). The soybeans, sourced from any global origin, are intended for shipment in containers. The deadline for price offer submissions is December 5. The tender specifies deferred shipment, with the arrival of five consignments, each comprising 4,000 tons, scheduled between December 2024 and May 2025. Additionally, the agency has a separate tender for 50,000 tons of GMO-free soybeans, closing on November 27.
