Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) has initiated a public vote to choose names for two new ferries serving the Little Minch routes. The names are inspired by the landscape and history of Harris and North Uist. Voters can choose one name from each group, with the two most popular names given to the sister vessels. The shortlisted names include Eubhal, Eilean Dorcha, Claymore, and Orasay in Group 1, and Pioneer, Scotasay, Clisham, and Lochmor in Group 2.
