Nord Cereales, the operator of the grain terminal at Dunkirk in France, will proceed with loading wheat for China in December as planned, unaffected by reported delays in shipments by other Chinese buyers. The firm's CEO, Joel Ratel, stated that vessels scheduled for loading in December are confirmed, and approximately 250,000 metric tons of wheat will be loaded for China this month. Despite recent market rumors causing European wheat prices to hit two-year lows, Nord Cereales expects to load at least 800,000 to 1 million tons of wheat for China between December and March. The company aims to reach 2 million tons of grain loadings by the end of the 2023/24 season, with upcoming shipments contributing to this target. Nord Cereales plans to tap into containerized cereal exports in 2024/25 to meet demand from importers preferring smaller bulk cargoes.
