The Port of Vancouver is Canada’s largest, and the third largest in North America by tonnes of cargo. The Port with a history of commitment to the environment, to our operating communities and to innovation. The Port of Vancouver is located on Canada’s west coast in the Province of British Columbia. The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority manages over 16,000 hectares of water, over 1,000 hectares of land and approximately 350 kilometers of shoreline. The port authority’s navigation jurisdiction extends from Point Roberts at the Canada/U.S. border through Burrard Inlet to Port Moody and Indian Arm, and from the mouth of the Fraser River, eastward to the Fraser Valley, north along the Pitt River to Pitt Lake, and includes the north and middle arms of the Fraser River.
