About Us

The African Transportation Convos (TATConvos) is a platform for discussing transport and logistics sector innovation, technology, industry trends, and policy that affect the lives of Africans. I also use the platform to advocate for good transportation systems in Africa to lift the populace from poverty. Your support will make this passion of mine a priority above my other responsibilities but most importantly push this initiative a notch higher by engaging decision-makers and influencers who can make or cause a change. The New York Times reported in May 2015 the results from a large social mobility study out of Harvard that found that access to good, reliable transportation is a huge factor in determining economic mobility. In a large, continuing study of upward mobility based at Harvard, commuting time has emerged as the single strongest factor in the odds of escaping poverty. The longer an average commute in a given county, the worse the chances of low-income families there moving up the ladder.
